Happy day for me...

I had attended my first Filipino wedding this afternoon, my buddy Jeffrey whom i worked with in a project had a civil wedding. I am the only Singaporean that had attended the simple affair but i was not being left out throughout my short stay there cos Pinoys are really very friendly. The whole proceeding just lasted about 20 minutes with the couple exchanging the rings and signing on the paper, but i really feel that it is enough for the couple as there are already happily together, the rest of the stuff is just a ceremony. Joanne the bride started to prepare the buffet feast at 4am in the morning and whipped up a sumptuous meal for all the guests invited. I really think that Jeffrey made the right choice in finding such a virtuous wife and she is really a very nice person. First time eating Pinoy food and it really tastes superb, guess i should really visit the country soon. =) May the lovely couple be happily together forever...

After badminton and swim in the afternoon, i have made up my mind to increase the intensity of my exercise regime to 3-4 times a week. I should be more discipline so that i can get back my fitness, any form of exercise will be good as I really enjoy doing them.

Train driver and the passenger

Just now when i was taking a train to somerset, I suddenly tawt of some scenarios that may happen in life...

Scenario 1
I was rushing for time then I saw the door of a packed train closing on me when I was walking up the escalator. Felt sad but two minutes later an empty train came along and I just wasted two minutes to enjoy 20 minutes of comfortable train ride.
Moral of the story: Do not be despair when a door closes upon you, cause you do not know what good things will befall on you next.

Scenario 2
A passenger is waiting for a train driven by the train driver whom he knows for a long period of time and allowing other trains to go pass him without boarding. Either he will successfully board the train of that driver or he will just carry on waiting there.
Moral of the story: Some people are just dumb to wait for that particular train when he can just board other trains instead.

Scenario 3
The train driver can only picks up a passenger out of all the people at the train station, how is she going to choose that person. She can either wait for the right person to appear or just allow the person whom she thinks is the most suitable to board first.
Moral of the story: The train driver will have the luxury to choose which passenger she thinks is the right one to board the train.

To conclude, life is about choice, every single decision that you make will affect your future.

Finally its over...

The 2 super hectic weeks are finally over... Its really not easy to cope with exams especially when the work load is sooo heavy.. Been having migraine for the past couple of months and it is getting more often recently... I still dunno the reason y it happens but i suppose that it is due to the lack of sleep.

Time is so precious nowadays that i give myself very limited rest and its time to slow things down abit. I will learn to treat myself better and go to sleep soon...

Work...

Time flies, it has been 8 mths since I have started working, I have been asking myself what I have accomplished so far, am I really doing what i want to do. This 8 mths is not long but it is neither short either.

I have a 2.5 mths of training at the start of work and have been doing the B296 project concurrently. It is a semi-submersible which means that it is a floating oil rig that is able to propel itself in the sea and these 8 mths I have really seen it growing from a small rig to the current mega structure size. The sense of accomplishment is indescribable cos you really see something been constructed out of nothing.

Right now, I have completed about 95 percent of the ventilation system on board the rig and I am way in front of schedule. On the coming Monday, I will been given my 2nd project which is to go and undertake the commissioning of the B288 ventilation system, it means that I will have to run the systems on board which had been constructed, this project is going to be delivered real soon, thus life is going to be tough for me in the coming months but I guess this is a another learning opportunity for me, to give me a better insight of the mechanisms.

I have completed another small dream of mine which is to become an engineer, but what lies ahead of me is still quite grey as I have only given myself 2-5 yrs in this industry and after which I will move on in life. Thus I will have to know what I really want after that, guess I will really have a lot of white hair soon...
